Mrs Ellis’s Goodbye Letter: Thursday 16th July 2020
This is a very bitter sweet letter to write, as I spend my last day alongside some of the children at Coundon Primary. I have missed all of the children so much, but I know how lucky I am to have spent so many years working alongside primary children. I hope you know, that even if there were decisions you might have disagreed with, I have always had the children’s best interests at the heart of it all. It has genuinely been a pleasure and a privilege to work with your children.
Thank you for supporting me through the six years I have been at Coundon. We have had lots of successes together as a school and I have so many happy memories. I have loved my time here and feel a little sad to be leaving when things are still so difficult. However, I am very grateful that Mrs Maude and Mr Scott are now at the helm to take over and feel reassured and confident in knowing that, they too, will always have the best interests of the children at the heart of all that they do and will lead the school forward very successfully. The staff at Coundon are talented, compassionate and nurturing and their desire to be the best for your children is second to none.
So it is goodbye from me, although I will hopefully return in the autumn term to say a proper goodbye to the children. Coundon Primary will always have a special place in my heart. Please tell your children that we have missed them and a thank you from me for their amazing personalities and for the happy memories they have given me.
I wish you and your families all the very best for the future. Take care.
