w/c 12th June 2023

Our topic this week is ‘changing me’. We will be looking at how we have changed since we are babies and how we continue to grow and change. We will discuss what we can do now that we couldn’t do when we were babies and how we will learn new things as we get older and turn in to adults. We will be naming and learning the parts of the body. We will also be learning about our differences and identifying where were born and looking at a map to see the different countries that we were born in. Can your child tell you what they can do now that they couldn’t do when they first started school?

This week we have assessed the children’s phonics and therefore some children may change phonics groups from next week. We have seen fantastic progress! We are working so hard in phonics and this being shown off in their writing and reading. An extra well done for those children who are doing their online work and practising their reading book at home. Those children who are consistently completing their online homework and reading regularly are the children who are making the best progress. Please continue to read every night at home as this gives your child the best support in helping them to move forward with their phonics.

Thank you so much to all the parent’s who attended RMT’s assembly. This Wednesday the 14th June is RKMs assembly. Please join us if you can at 8.50 am.

There will be a letter going home this week about our ‘changing me ‘topic. Please can you provide a baby picture of your child with their name on the back.

The lovely weather is set to continue so please can you provide your child with a named sunhat and a water bottle each day. There are still a few children coming to school without a water bottle . Please provide water and not squash. Please can you also apply sun cream to your child before they come to school as we are unable to apply it on them. Many brands do an 8 hour cream which means your child doesn’t need to reapply it in school. Thanks for your support.

Have a great week.
