This week Year 2 have been learning all about Romania. We have learnt many facts about the country. We also learnt some traditional songs and dances.
We designed and painted some wooden spoons, replicating Romanian folk art and crafts. We enjoyed tasting lots of different types of Romanian food such as Sarmale (cabbage rolls) and various pastries and other snacks. We also wrote a postcard, imagining we had been to Romania for our holidays. It was great fun learning how to say some basic Romanian phrases and how to count to 10. What a great week ????
Year 2 would also like to thank a parent from Year 3 (Alessia’s mum) who cooked the cabbage rolls for us! They were super tasty, and we really appreciate the experience of tasting homemade Romanian food. Thank you!
