The Governors and staff of the school strongly recommend the wearing of school uniform although it is not mandatory.
It consists of
- a white or red polo shirt, shirt or blouse
- a red jumper, sweatshirt or cardigan
- grey or black trousers or skirt/dress
- (During summer red and white striped/gingham dresses may be worn)
- sensible black school shoes
Uniform with a logo is available from Andy Blair on Barker Butts Road. Alternatively, you may purchase the uniform from all major suppliers. Iron-on logos are also available from the school office
Preloved School Uniform
At Coundon Primary School we also run an ‘Preloved School Uniform’ scheme. We happily receive donations of used school uniforms. These are then sold before and after school, for a donation, at regular intervals in the school year – with the uniform also available from ‘Kidz club’ through the year.
Jewellery
Children are allowed to wear a single stud earring in each ear, a watch and (if appropriate) a religious bracelet. For safety reasons we ask that other jewellery be not worn to school. Jewellery can be dangerous when your child is involved in any physical activity – even playing in the playground – and especially in P.E. and Swimming.
P.E.
Twice a week children take part in PE activities. On these days they are to come to school in their PE kit.
PE School Hoodie – available from ‘Andy Blair’ (or a generic red hoodie jumper – with iron-on logo available from the school office)
Plain black shorts / plain black tracksuit bottoms
Red round neck t-shirt (with or without logo)
Trainers (pumps for inside)
Swimming costume (Year 4)
All items to be worn to school should be clearly marked with your child’s name.
SCHOOL READING BAG & P.E. BAGS
These are available to purchase from the school office, Reading bags are £6.00 and PE/Pump bags are £5.00.
