In Maths, we will be learning the place value of numbers within 20. We will learn about tens and ones and look at how to make different numbers within 20 using practical equipment like bead strings, numicon, tens frames and diennes.
Don’t forget to go on Numbots for extra maths challenges. We held a presentation ceremony this week and gave out certificates to the children who had completed each level. The children were really excited by this.
Don’t forget to access the phonics homework online to consolidate reading and sounds learnt this week.
In Science this week, we will be starting a new topic ‘Who am I?’ and we will start by learning about the human skeleton.
On Thursdays this term we will be doing outside PE so please send your child in a track suit.
For homework this week , we sent your child home with access to the Reading Wise program this is aimed at supporting your child with reading words ready for the phonics screening test that takes place in the Summer Term. Please support your child to get on to Reading Wise program and complete the tasks set.
