Welcome to

Together Everybody Achieves More

W/C 25th September 2023

This week in our topic on Polar regions we will be learning about what animals and Humans need to survive in a cold climate. We will investigate what clothes, food and shelter an explorer would need for a polar expedition. We will also be designing a home for a penguin.

The children have made a great start in their phonics groups and we have been impressed with how many children have completed their online homework. Please encourage your child to do the reading and complete the quizes each week as this supports their learning in class and the progress that they make. The phonics teachers can also check who has completed the homework and the children will receive extra dojos for doing their homework.

In Maths this week we will continue to learn place value and to count on one more from a given number. We will continue to practise number formation and learn the number words.

Each child has their own Num bots account to access the Maths activities for home work. You will find the login details in the reading diaries. Please encourage your child to try the activities as again this consolidates their Maths skills.

On Tuesday 3rd October we will be going on a trip to Twycross Zoo. We are still waiting for permission slips to come in from everyone. Please can you return these as soon as possible.

On 11th October 1AS will be doing their class assembly we hope that you will be able to join us.

Any queries you can contact us on our class emails.
